UChicago Alumna participating in Open Studio Hartford
As Hartford artists open their studios and shared spaces for the public to visit in November 2015, one UChicago Alumna, a maker as well as a crafter, will be participating as part of the group exhibiting at MakeHartford.
UChicago Arts Alumni board member Margo Lynn Hablutzel is one of many artists and crafters and performers displaying as part of Open Studio Hartford on November 14-15th. She is part of the group at the MakeHartford venue at 30 Arbor Street, Basement, in Hartford. MakeHartford (http://www.makehartford.com/) is Hartford's makerspace, a "gym for geeks" with shared workshop spaces, tools and technical equipment, and a regular series of classes and events open to the community. Ms. Hablutzel and others will be displaying works for purchase as well as talking about the 3-D printers, CNC machine, lathes, kiln, and other equipment they use to create the works and participate in other MakeHartford activities.
